Cannavaro clearly didn't deserve that award, lets remember that he played for Juventus and he tackled players in match fixed games, how can he deserve the Golden Ball?

I think he doesn't deserve it, because he only played good in the WC 2006, now he is quite a bad defense, just take a look at the match of Lyon- RM. he couldn't stop Carew. Besides his game is quite brutal!!!

Well he was head of the great defence for WC champs on a team well known for defence, so I think he deserved it as much as anyone.
