you can go on the http://www.freeview.co.uk/home web site and find out the signal strength in your area. you could also try an indoor digital ariel which work well with freeview. Argos give a 16 day moneyback guarantee so if it didn't help you haven't lost anything.

There's a chance you may need a better aerial depending on how good the one is you already have. You can check how good the coverage is in your area on the net, do a search for freeview on google and it should bring up the site you need. But aslo check cable are all connected properly and go through the av channels. Sometimes it helps to switch the freeview off for a couple of minutes and turn it back on again.Hope this helps!!

If the reception is bad in your area then a digital set top box will not improve. You will not get any ghosting and if you do manage to get an image it will be crystal clear. Buy a high gain aerial. Maplins do a good indoor one if you can't be bothered to stick one on the roof or in the loft.

    hi

Jus make sure all the connections (wires/cable) are all right..

If everything is fine, then there might be some prob with the signal coming through the cable.

If the signal is not strong enough u tend to get these errors like No channels found / Signal Scrambled like that... contact ur Cable operator and tell him to put a booster near by ur place.. this shud do the trick...

Have you got a Freeview aerial. Normal TV aerial means little or no chance of getting the signal.

Weak signal strength area.....is possible. You would benefit from a wideband high gain aerial

you might need to upgrade your areial to a digital one as the signal might no be strong enough

you might not have digital in the area you live as its not available in all areas yet.

there should be some info in the packaging you can text your postcode to a number and it will tell you if you area is availlable for digital or not hope this helps

Source(s): we bought one and had the same problem as the signal wasnt strong enough where we lived
