Q: how to put dvds in ipod video
A: Best Answer - Chosen by ketchupman4
yeah you can
as long as you got the 5th generation iPod video.
first you gotta get a dvd to iPod converter, I recommend you try or buy the intervideo iVideoToGo (( http://www.intervideo.com/ivideotogo... )) this is
very reliable. but on the free trial, it takes a while to convert an hour and half movie; longer if its like LOTR: return of the king. and it might freeze up on you, just press ctrl + alt + delete to unfreeze it. it only cost about 20 dollars. plus it only takes you to convert the DVD in 3 easy steps: 1. find the dvd file 2. find a destination folder 3. convert as mpeg4 file and press CONVERT (the little button on the bottom right-corner) by the way, the dvd
has to be an mpeg4 file and in quicktime version. so the file will read "[title of movie].mov"
that's why you need a converter for the DVD you can't just import the dvd to the ipod. that violates the copyright of the DVD.
second: once you convert it. put the file into a folder where it can be easily found. then go to your iTunes (if you don't have it yet, get it at http://www.apple.com/iTunes ) and go to file > import file > select the movie file > and click ok to import file.
there you have it. you got a movie to watch. enjoy it with a bowl of popcorn.
or maybe you can the file anyway into itunes and select the video and go to advanced > convert selection. maybe that'll work
2. on lyrics, you can only view them when you're listening to songs, you knew that right? the only thing you can do when you watch videos, at least from what i know, you can adjust the brightness and fast fwd or rewind. to add lyrics for a song, you select the song > right-click > choose get info > go to the lyrics tab > type in lyrics > click ok. then sync. and on the ipod, while you're listening to the song, click the center button til you see the lyrics for the song you put lyrics with.
