why do unattractive men hit on women more than attractive ones?

They are desperate and have nothing to loose. The think they actually have a chance. He he! Which they don't.

The short version is "not so hot guys DO need to be more outgoing to get hot women".

If you're Brad Pitt, you can stand in the corner and wait for the girls to line up. If you're not, you have to get out there and sell yourself. (You may still have plenty of virtues, but if you're not pretty, no one can see those from across a crowded bar.)

I will point out that by the same token, I believe less attractive girls are easier...for the same reason.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Perhaps they see the inner beauty under the facade of the "attractive or hot" girls. Never judge a book by it's cover. Men and women who know they are hot tend to be either conceited ot insecure about their looks just as the so called "not so hot men and women.

Hot guys don't have to try as hard. It's the same reason why mice have so many babies- the larger the number the more possibility of survival.

This is so simple. Hot guys don't need to hit on women, because the women hit on them.

You'll find that older and fatter women are more aggressive sexually as well than their hottie counterparts.

unattractive men may have low self esteem.......so maybe hitting on hot chicks will boost their confidence!...and they might get lucky!...some hot chick might give them a chance.......and if a man is trying to pick up a women......might as well shoot for the stars!!!!

Humans are suckers for good looks...trust me when I say , anything in a great package looks tempting ;)

Besides good looking people get hit upon by people of opp. sex ALL THE TIME !
