It was created in the 1950s predominantly backed by the military, though it was not used the way it is today. No Al Gore did not create it. See below for more information.

I guarantee it was NOT Al Gore. It was I think anyway, by some professors at University of Minnesota, many years back. You might place a search above in green box w/white box to type in. Just say Internet Created By, or something close -- good luck.

It was created by and for the military. I can not remember when it was first done though, sorry bout that.
