I just won a monetary judgment in court. Can anyone suggest a valid judgment enforcement agency?

It is over $5000 so it is not a small claims matter. I live in Jersey, but Defendant resides in Florida. I would like to have an agency located in Florida, but will accept all referrals. Thanks.

Update:

it is over $20,000.

Update 2:

I already litigated the case for the last eight months and everything is done and complete. I am looking for a company who will buy out my judgment and then proceed to go after the Defendant for repayment.

Our company specializes in both judgment recovery and asset search for attorneys and individual judgment owners. We've been in business for 5 years, and recover on judgments nationwide.

Your first step - and you will need to do this yourself - is to domesticate the judgment into Florida. This will cost you several hundred dollars, but can be done without the assistance of an attorney. Many agencies, and companies like ours, will not take on your case unless it is domesticated. Also, no action can be taken on the case until this is done.

Next, you will need to determine how aggressively you want to pursue your case. Florida is a debtor-friendly state, and as such, this puts you at a disadvantage. If you know your debtor is a property owner, and has assets beyond his own home and cars, you stand a better chance of recovery.

If you are unsure of your debtors financial situation, our company can perform an asset search at a minimal cost. This will give you an accurate picture of your debtors financial condition, as well as locate financial accounts, which typically, in debtor-friendly states, are the easiest to access to satisfy a judgment. Since we are educated on the laws in all 50 states, we can then give you an accurate assessment of the real question here - "is this case recoverable?"

Be VERY, very careful whom you choose to handle your case, should you decide to give this to a collection agency or judgment collector. There are many who have little experience in this field, and will make promises for recovery that they cannot keep! A reputable company will ask you a lot of questions about your case, because not every case will be collectible, and a reputable company will only take on collectible cases.

If you are willing to educate yourself on this process, and spend a little to research your debtor, you may actually be able to pursue and collect on the judgment yourself. You will incur out of pocket expenses, but once a recovery is made, you share the proceeds with no one. This is the best option for someone with a case your size.

Please contact us if we can be of assistance, and best wishes.

You will probably end up having to hire a Florida lawyer. I would Google debt collectors in Florida. Being awarded a judgement is almost a phyrric victory there are so many ways to hide assets.

assign the judgment to me . my contingency fee is fifty percent! that means i get half of anything i collect. plus my expenses which the defendant pays. the most you get is half if he has assets. the most i get is 25% because i know the right guy in Florida and you don't. 5 grand is a rather small amount. if you want all of it find out where he works and garnish his wages. probably, his employer will ***** up the paper work. then you can make his work pay the entire amount in one lump sum and they have to garnish his wages. it's not a mistake they make a second time because now they can't fire the idiot until they are paid....figure out my e-mail address if you want my help

Well unless there are some comas in there this is not a big amount.

The other party should have it but if they don't you can pay that much in just fee's to get that amount out of the other party.

I suggest waiting to see if the courts can get it for you. Otherwise one can not get blood out of a stone....not enough money to worry about in my eyes....
