High constricting abdominal pain?
I thought I had Gastro yesterday morning- when things started with explosions from both ends. But I only Vomited once and the Dhiarrea was gone within 2 hours. Since then I have had severe constricting pain across the upper-most part of my abdomen (almot considered lower chest). It spans the whole way across and does not favour one side, nor have any particulat cycle- it just comes and goes as it pleases. have had it for around 36 hours now, but can't get into a dr. Any ideas on what it could be?

I don't know enough about your health, so I'm not sure what this is, but you describe this pain as severe, Generally speaking this is not good. Usually, gastroenteritis doesn't have severe abdominal pain. For free you could call your local ER and speak to a nurse or doctor. If you tell them more detail about your general health and what you are experiencing they can give you better advice than I could.

Weird I am suffering from the same thing. I can not tell you what it is because the doctors have no clue either. After the pain comes I have extreme diarrhea. But it comes out of the blue for me like every other year. Usually last for a day but this bout that I am having is on it's third day. Why can't you get into the doctors. The doctors maybe can prescibe some stuff called Donnatol It is like novcaine for the stomache.

Careful, that sounds like appendicitis, altho that pain is
usually lower right side but can be diffuse. Probably much
closer to the reason is a gall bladder attack. That would be
pain at right side, right under bottom rib. That means a
gallstone has entered into the duct and is stuck. Sometimes
it goes one way or the other and you're okay. But if its
really stuck, the pain will become pretty much unbearable and
the stone needs to be removed pronto. You need an xray
'to see what's wrong. Don't wait!

food poisoning, or your ,oooo it starts with an a....Appendix! appendix might need to be taken out, not a doctor but my dad is...hope you feel much better soon! take some aspirin or something to tie it over, or some maalox, tht works really well, especially the liquid. it may taste gross but the results are good.
