If you think the machine needs rebooted or restarted, dont be silly just reboot it.

If it is a windows computer it needs to reboot periodically. No getting around it. Sometimes if you are an advanced user, you can extend a windows pc's uptime by manipulating services ... But eventually you will still need to reboot.

Also, I would make sure the keyboard is plugged in properly (fully)

    Good luck

eeek. Happened to me, after just some water leaked into the board! I would reccomend getting some of that stuff they sell in Office Depot that is like this can of air that helps alot. Just ask and theyll have it

Try restarting your computer. I'm a student tech assistant at my school and it happens all the time. If restarting dosen't help, don't know where to go from there.

Buy a new keyboard. Or use the semicolon (:) key and see if it's a period (dot).
