I look for something all inclusive ie: vitamins, anti-oxidants and minerals. So far the best I've found is the "Centrum" line.

I take the generic version of Centrium one-a-day. (The generic has the exact same ingredients and amounts as the name brand) I take it because one of my doctor's recommended I take it for numerous reasons. One being that there are trace elements our bodies need that are found in daily supplements, but usually not in a typical diet. For women who want to get pregnant or are, getting the correct amount of folic acid is important. I also take Calcium supplements with my daily vitamin because I can't handle milk.

Also Centrum because it is all inclusive with all vitamins and minerals imaginable and I think it helps to cover shortages in diet and because of long days of darkness, especially over winter here in Sweden. The body needs sunshine to produce D vitamin for ex. One pill aday is sufficient.

i used to take vitamin c + e because i rarely eat fruits or go out in the sun... i used to take calcium because i dont drink milk and i hear that if you dont taken enough calcium, especially if your a female, it can be really bad as you age. i took one a day since it was easier but switched to centrum after i found that it had better percentages of each thing.
