During the update it said not to power down your PSP. The PSP might of ran out of battery. Something is wrong because the PSP won't let you update with little power. You should refer to the PSP owners MAnual or go to http://yourpsp.com./ Good Luck!

Sounds like your PSP has been bricked unfortunatley, if you have taken the battery out and it still does turn on when you the battery back in then its stuffed.
Try taking it back to where you purchased it from, as it should still be under warranty.
