All wireless network connects to internet through router but PC shows connected but internet still doesnt work

PC connected to router. All other computers can pick up the internet connection through router. Main PC shows Local Area Connected but still no internet even when connected directly from cable modem to PC. Used Winsock fix, updated drivers, still does not work.

    Run the internet wizard and select connect thru lan

    HI

    Ok , first verify that you have DHCP enable , if you have static ip it will say connected but will have NO internet connection . Now take out the nic card and plug it back in

    Is the router set up to use a WEP or WPA key?
