does anyone know the title of this book?

I'm trying to find a title for a book about this man who has a girl who he trains to fight different styles may have been a military man, anyway mom is not in the picture. After he retires from the millitary him and a partner go into bussness has something to do with building stuff. Anyway some people kidnap him because of his work and the daughter and the partner who I think never really got along has to team up to save the father. Well that's all I can remember about the book let me know if you know this book or where I kind a book listing. Any help is appreciated.
