Emo is short for "emotional". It's a bunch of people that are suicidal and depressed and most of the time are screaming for attention. It's not something you want involved in. Emo bands are like Hawthorne Heights...look at their lyrics and that's the definition of emo.

hahaha yeah I remember my "emo phase", pretty bad. Well Emo is short emotional hardcore or emocore. It can mean a genre of rock for ex. bands like My Chemical Romance..and a style as well. Emo kids usually have the sideswept bangs covering one eye and (steroetypically) are very depressed and emotional, like the name.
