Neither. It used to be underrated back then but not anymore. Their salaries are overrated though.

OVERrated. Basketball is definitely overrated--just look at the players' salaries. Taller, stronger people who have an advantage in athletics are paid more than doctors who studied several years in medical school! Ridiculous...

In fact, not only in basketball, but in the entertainment industry--it's ALL overrated. At least to us normal people.

Paying a guy millions of dollars for having the right body to play basketball is overrated isn't it? You can say they have "skill" but isn't it mostly their physical stature that gives them their "talent".

OSU is honestly hyped up, having lost to UNC, Wisconsin and a loss to Florida with the aid of 26 factors. the full massive 10 as a convention is hyped up. As for underrated, i think Texas A&M merits to be a precise 5 team, or a minimum of ranked larger than Memphis (perennially hyped up). Memphis could be 13-0 interior the stinkpit it is C-u . s . a ., yet they have in basic terms one win outdoors of C-u . s . a . against a ranked team on the time (Kentucky), coupled with losses against Georgia Tech (no longer even .500 interior the ACC), unranked Tennessee, and Arizona (8-7 interior the percent10). it is previous me how a team like Memphis gets plenty love, yet a team like Nevada gets so exposure in any respect. television contracts, i think. If Memphis certainly performed in a potential convention, they does no longer additionally be a .500 team, it is why they go out the experience early maximum years.

Basketball is not overrated or underrated. I mean, how can you rate a sport?? And yeah, although size matters like what the early guy had said...there are many little guys who can play too like earl boykins nate robinson allen iverson isiah thomas john stockton...It is a great sport for me as i like the physical aspect towards it it has some contact but NOT AS PHYSICAL AS FOOTBALL!!! And it trains you legs( DUH!!! ) And arms and stamina and coordination therefore its a good sport for exercise...

    underrated

I mean everyone knew who Reggie Bush was from when he was a highschool sophomore, who ever even knew who LaMarcus Aldridge was up untill he went to college and played for the Longhorns, or what about Melo..did any of you know he existed untill he won a national championship with Syracuse...

in basketball, you have to do something spectacular to be recognized...in other sports, you just have to have a jersey and a number.
