i hate to be a bearer of bad news,..once it hits the lymphatic system it is carried to all parts of the body.
and prognosis is grim.
see what others say, but deeply research this for your self.

My mother in law had a similar experience 9 years ago when she had her breast cancer removed. They found one microscopic cell in a surrounding lymph node that they couldn't really identify as cancerous or not. She then went through chemo and radiation.
She was in remission for 8 or 9 years. After that she developed some cancer on her spine which she was treating..
Then she had a stroke and they found a lot of brain cancer that had developed (apparentley they aren't measuring for those markers that would of shown brain cancer) but thankfully they were able to do same day surgery and she has come out of that very well.
Once cancer is in the lymph system I am afraid it's very hard if not impossible to illiminate from the body. But her cancer went 8 years without any signs after it was already in (even after finding something in the lymph nodes). Every case is different.. but I would be careful for your health... and monitor things regualarly.
Seeing as you are 66 I wouldn't be as worried. If you went on her time frame you would have 9 more years of good health and then 5-10 years of not so good health.. and that would put you over 80!
I wish you the best and I'll keep you in my prayers.
(Ps- I'll add on a little of her health condition now that she has 4-9 years incase you are interested. She has cancer on the spine and hips now. She went through chemo and radiation for both. Her one leg is struggling to recover from the radiation and she's having a hard time getting around. Her hair has grown back and her mind seems to go in and out just the SLIGHTEST bit. Sometimes she seems more 'her' than others.)

You went into remission and there is a chance now that it is back. Unfortunately that is the fate of most of us. I've been in remission for almost 7 years from my breast cancer and just recently had another pre-cancerous lump removed from the same breast. Thank God they caught it in time, but I know one day the cancer will be back. I had 2 rounds of chemo the last time, so would I go back on it at 66 (I'm 42)? HELL yes. You could live another 20 years easily if you take care of this now. Besides, you don't know what advances they will have in the next couple of years. You have to fight it!

Im sorry....I believe about his white cells that you just relatively mustn't go on a iciness holiday considering the fact that cancer sufferers inmune process tends to head down rather a lot during chemo...This means your dad would effortlessly turn out to be with pneumonia in the course of this time of the year. I real hope your dad will get higher, so i'd try to shock him and deliver the holidays to him. Are attempting making a shock occasion along with his closest neighbors, rent films, watch household movies, principally make him snicker rather a lot so he feels completely satisfied invariably. If you happen to live in a location that snows then are attempting getting some sand and convey it in to the residence and build a sand fortress or anything like that along with your dad so he does not leave out going external. Make a seaside occasion inside the house and ever make a CD with the ocean's sound. My prayers go to your household and your dad. Hope this works!
