i think "wanting his attention" would mean she might have a bad boyfriend, and you give her the luxury she needs that he dosnt, which means your stuck in the friend zone

but liking him, is just that

yes, i think there is. some girls are married or have a boyfriend but still like attention from guys. they like to know that they are still desirable even if they aren't single. otherwise, if the girl is single and just looking for a guy's attention, she may not have yet decided if she actually "like" him completely.

It's possible to want a guys attention just for fun. The way girl get all dressed up if any guy will see them...but look all ulgy if it's all girls.

I guess attention and liking are same things but the degree or intensity is different. Liking is higher on the scale.
