I use Yahoo Messenger 8.1 with my sbcglobal.net, why can't I add the Phone-in/Phone-out feature to Messenger?
If you have an @sbcglobal.net email address, and you want to add on the Phone-in/Phone-out feature to your Yahoo Messenger 8.1, you get a response like this:"Whoops, you have a really old Yahoo! ID... Unfortunately, Yahoo! Phone Out and Phone In do not support Yahoo! IDs containing non-standard characters. " What gives? If anyone with an sbcglobal.net account has resolved this problem, I really would appreciate some guidance. I used the online chat with Yahoo customer service and they didn't know the answer. I emailed messenger customer service, and still waiting for a response. Need this feature, since I am always travelling on business and this is my business email account. Thanx to all.

FYI, I also received the same message using my swbell.net Yahoo ID. I can vouch that this worked before 8.1 and have been using Phone-out since YIM 8.0 came out.

I looked into it and the really those that could see that are your connections till you chosen in the different case and that is basically to inform human beings if that account is busy or not. it truly is like face e book. once you upload a sparkling human being who shows up. once you're taking an action it truly is printed. evaluate it call waiting. also, there is not me really decision and being invisible does not erase that information. So relax, you've not any secrets and techniques on Yahoo anymore. Mu ah ha ha ha ha....
