What does the term "crossover" mean in terms of an SUV vehicle? ALSO.....?

Cross over means that the car style is hard to peg, I guess is a way of putting it, has some attributes of a car, yet some like an SUV. Most of the small SUVs are being branded "crossover".

A cross over vehicle is just that, a crossover from a car to an SUV and Visa-versa. It's for those with cars wanting something more, but not a SUV. To me it is a stationwagon - just puffed up a little.
