As the other poster have said, you have a pinched nerve. Your condition is serious. If left untreated you will lose strength and control in the affected leg. You need surgery to relieve the pressure on the leg nerve. .

I am assuming you have back pain too? Your nerves run through your back and with disc disease sometimes those nerves get pressed causing numbness on one or both sides.

The nerve that runs from the spine to the leg is pinched between the vertebrae/disks that are pressed together.
