Georgia is a big state. Most likely, there'll be some snow up in the northern section -- especially in the foot hills of the Smokey Mountains. Down south where I live (near Savannah) we see brief smatterings of snow every other year or so. Perhaps every five years or so, there's enough of an accumulation to last for a few days -- but usually not.

One evening a few Decembers ago, my wife and I were listening to the police scanner -- and the cops started talking about the snowfall that had just begun happening in another part of the county. They were excited about it -- and kept talking about the size of the flakes and the fact that some of it was beginning to accumulate. It took a little while, but the snow finally started falling where my wife and I were, too.

Snow is a big deal in our neck of the woods, especially if it starts to look like a persistent downfall. So, my wife and I bundled up and went to sit on the back porch, where we watched the flakes descend like little fairies coming to alight on the earth.
