I have this old coin and I can't find it anywhere on the web.?
Any one tell me about a coin I found in my dads belongings.
1849
"Cincinnati mining and trading company" on one side
"California twenty dollars" on the other.
I can't find it anywhere on the web and any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi!! this was a hard one, but I enjoy a good challenge. I found this link that mentions the off metal coins made in 1849 but gives no price so I hope this helps a little. but I would try and research it out. try scanning the front and back and sending it to a on coin gallery and see what they have to say. if you don't have a scanner , try the library for a scanner. have fun, I would have a great time with this one. on further research I found this "copy" coin for sale on e-bay. see if this is your coin, if it is its more then likely a copy, sorry
