In terms of search engines to target to market your business, besides Google, only Yahoo! and MSN have enough market share to make it worthwhile.

From a user standpoint, DogPile is an excellent choice.

and there are tons of good smaller search engines out there that are very targeted to a specific niche and probably better and more targeted than any of the big search engines for their vertical.
