I think it is just fine.

Bush is a national embarrassment and the less he is seen the better.

Did you cut your vacation short?

In the job description for President, is receiving a body a requirement?

The bottom line is no matter what the President does, someone will complain about it!

Has any other President receive the body of a past president?

    So get over it!

Gerald Ford planned his funeral in advance, and the only concession he has to the formalities of the Presidential funeral is to lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda.

I am certain that if he wanted GWB to be there, GWB would be there. Dick Cheney, who was Ford's former aide, was the speaker at the Rotunda ceremony.

Just like George HW Bush was the speaker at Reagan's funeral.

Bush is giving a eulogy at Ford's funeral on tuesday and will be going to the capitol rotunda on Monday where Ford will be lying in state. Why does he need to receive the body?

I'm just kidding, but maybe Dubya's just miffed because some of his fellow GOP people dissed him during their campaign appearances after it became obvious that ol' George was more of a liability than an asset.

Bush is crass and shallow. Gerald R. Ford was one of the greatest presidents the US ever had. Bush will go down in history as the Neo-Con version of Lyndon B. Johnson! (Tax and spend war-monger.)

I am never surprised by Bush's inability to think of anyone but himself.

He's pathetic and his so-called Yale education was a waste of time; he learned nothing about good taste and decorum.

But...I suppose...only mad scientists and all of those lame souls that voted for him would ever hope to turn a cow-chip into a president! It just ain't workin' man...it just ain't workin'!

I think it is a slap in the face to Mrs. Ford and the family.

Maybe the former president was not Evangelical.

Did anyone expect anything but classless, selfish actions from this guy? He has shown once again what happens when people don't go out and vote. All of you who read this and didn't vote put him in office. He's one helleva guy, huh?
