why dont saudi men allow their women to drive?

Same reason American women could not vote, own property for a portion of the United States history. Mindless male domination and foolish interpretations of religious teachings.

Okay, um I live in Saudi and I totally understand why, and I agree on it...

First of all, there are a lot of people who want their women to drive, but there are others that stand apposing to tht idea.

Second, it has nothing to do with Islam it has to do with how the people are

but the thing is, it's all because of the men there. I do not want to trash Saudi. But a lot of guys act very... stupidly.

They really harass girls by throwing their numbers at them, following them home and then in some way they get their phone number and name and etc. They go to the extent of throwing pebbles at them if they ignore them. That all happens while women are with their drivers...what would happen if they were driving alone??

Saudi Arabia is not an Islamic State. It is a Kingdom and the Quran condemns Kings as oppressive and unjust in more than one verse.

Saudi men are like Christian men and wish to dominate the lives of all women and they use their own form of religion, under the guise of Islam, to achieve their goal.

Muslims have abandoned the Quran for their own fabricated Hadith to literally "get away with murder" in order to exploit and oppress women and their children in direct conflict with the Quran.

Who knows? Without Quran the women may well elope like western women.

Saudi women are not allowed to drive thats true , but not because of there husband but because of Saudi low , which think that this increase security in the roads( by decreasing accidents). it is a stupid low i agree with you but this has nothing to do with Islam.

It is unlawful for women to drive in Saudi Arabia, and I presume that the reason is that under some circumstances a woman might have to interact in some way with a man not a member of the family. (Oh, the horror!)

They don't allow women to do a lot of things. Muslim "men" like the control that they have over their women. When they start permitting one thing after another, they loose that control.

Because Saudi Arabia is governed by islamic laws; look at whats written in the Quran with regards to women:

33:32. O Consorts of the Prophet! Ye are not like any of the (other) women: if ye do fear ((Allah)), be not too complacent of speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire: but speak ye a speech (that is) just.

A woman is not a believer if she undertakes a journey which may last three days or longer, unless she is accompanied by her husband, son, father or brother. (TR. P 431 )

It is forbidden for a woman to be seen by any man except her husband when she is made up or well-dressed. (TR. P 430)

I think there's a gender thing in their Laws about women not being permitted to go out without a male escort.

I'm arab, and ive been to an arab country similar to saudi, and lemme just tell you that some of the women there don't give a CRAP what their husbands say cuz they're too power hungry! If i had went to an arab country with my husband and hed try to do that to me I'd kick his sorry @$$.
