The NFL regular season is just about over. Which NFL team surprised you the most?

This can also be a team that were suppose to be in contention for the Super Bowl but did not even make the playoffs. Please explain why?

The Carolina Panthers for not making the playoffs but mostly the New Orleans Saints in getting second place in the NFC and getting a first round bye. Until this year I had never heard New Orleans Saints and Superbowl used in the same sentence.

As far as doing better than expected, the Saints and Jets are right at the top. The Titans weren't expected to do much of anything, then finished 8-8 after a 2-7 start. The Eagles going 10-6 might not be a huge surprise, but the way they went about it was. The 49ers, Packers, and Rams all did a little better than expected, despite missing the playoffs.

A lot of teams didn't do nearly as well as expected. My preseason pick for the Super Bowl was the Broncos and Panthers, and both of those teams missed the playoffs. The Dolphins, Bengals, Steelers, and Jaguars were all considered contenders in the AFC and fell way short of expectations.

In the NFC, aside from the Panthers, the Redskins, Buccaneers, Falcons, Cardinals, and Vikings were all predicted to do much better than they ended up doing. The Giants, Cowboys, and Seahawks all made the playoffs, but were expected to have better regular seasons than what they ended up having.

There were no surprises! Because of free agency the NFL has become a group of watered down half azz teams. All the REAL football in this country is played on saturdays!!! College football rocks and the NFL (Not Football Anymore) bites the big schwantzola!! How pathetic is it that all these 7-8 teams were still in the playoff hunt. . sad . . sad. . SAD!

College football? College football is a bunch of big schools beating up on smaller schools so that a computer can decide who can play in the championship game. You think a couple of 7-8 teams are bad? What about 7-5 teams playing 6-5 teams in one of the 80 or so Bowl games. Most diehard college football fans are people who live in places that are too insignificant to merit a real football team.

Tennessee and Vince-sanity, he's the real deal and will lead the Titans to prominence in the future! Titans need to have a good draft this April, starting with a better running game then some D-Lineman to help Vince's cause out on the other side of the ball.

The Giants. In the beginning of the season, the Giants was the team to beat in the NFC. They were posed be the NFC Champs. Then Peyton beat Eli and the team went downhill from there

    The New York Jets.

Chad Pennington held up the entire season and along with a new coach (Mangini), they certainly were a better team this year than when Herman Edwards coached them.

I half azz agree with you Einstein. After years and years of free agency and the almighty $$$$ making the desision of where players will play next year, Saturdays are looking better and better as years go by.
