Do you believe that soul has no gender?

A similar question was asked to Jesus Christ. They asked, "if a woman's husbands dies and she marries again, and he dies and she marries again, and he dies, so on for seven husbands, then which one is her husband in heaven?" Jesus answered that it is not that way in heaven. They are like angels. They are not given to marriage.

Our gender is a product of hormones, and the X or Y chromosomes. These physical biological products are not intrinsic to the spiritual. They are not included in your soul.

Your soul is a product of everything you do, every thought you have, every word you say, everything. So to properly nurture your soul you should; seek truth/wisdom, practice love, and relish everything in the world that you find beautiful. For in doing this there is enlightenment.

Its as if there is a quantum energy element to our consciousness. This energy is constantly being fed, either for better or worse. When we die the energy is freed from the body, and it continues. That is your soul.

I believe our soul has no gender. That is a human condition. Neither God nor our souls have any need for such a thing, and as such, He would not have provided it when creating us.

I too have considered the effects of our gender normalization in the afterlife. Do we retain our differences? Do we lose our inhibitions and just learn to love? If our soul has no gender, why is homosexuality supposed to be so terrible? If our soul is what loves, how can sexuality prevent us from loving those of the same gender?

I'm sorry this isn't much of an answer. I don't believe our souls have genders, but that doesn't answer the question of how and why we categorize who we are in love with based upon gender.

I've wondered this myself. I think the soul has no gender but the soul knows that it must work with the desires of the body to be passed down at least in part through the generations in the material world.

I believe that You are Your Soul.... that the idea of the soul split off from the body is a Greek concept that was transposed into the Christian theology in the New Testament times. So, while you are on the planet, you have a gendered soul.... beyond here, I don't know.

Something as great and valuable as a soul cannot have gender, it cannot be forced into a pattern, into a stereotype, into a human condition like gender.

It is true that our gender indicates our behaviour and our feelings, but if we wouldn't have bodies and brains and if we would only be souls, we would all be alike.

but our soul also have some influence in our gender.
