Timing balance shaft Suzuki lt250rn?

Anyone tell me how to time the balance sfaft?have timing marks on cogs but where the cog fits on crankshaft there is no marks.Thanks in advance.

    There should be 2 marks on the crank cog and 1 on the spline that is on the crank ,you will find one tooth that looks like there is a dent in it that should be at TDC then line the mark on the crank cog with that and then you have to line the other mark with the balancer cog mark that's if it is a gear driven balancer, if it is chain drive you have to line up the crank then count the required links to the mark on the balancer, to find out how many links contact your local dealer he should be able to tell you

    My Haynes Manual has balance shaft timing instructions for my XR250. Don't have a Suzi, but a service manual for the LT250 should have it for that machine too.
