It shouldn't be called Lunar New Year, because there are other lunar calandars that have a completely seperate new years, for examples the Jewish calandar.

It shouldn't be called the "Chinese New Year," but rather the "Lunar New Year." I'm Korean and I myself know Koreans that celebrate their birthdays and such in accordance to the Lunar calender. And I'm almost positive that It's not only just Korea and China.
