I want to post a message,......?
I want to post a message in a yahoo group, however, I don't want my name to appear. I have created another profile under
another name but my real name still appears.
What should I do?
My personal name appears on the from line along with
my yahoo email address.
I want to eliminate my personal email address.
How do I prevent my personal name from appearing in
the from box?

Did you join the Group with your new profile?
If not, click Edit Membership at the top of any Group page then make sure the right profile is ticked.
Here is a link to another Answer explaining where names come from:

If you are posting by email, you'll have to change the settings in your email client/service so that your name is not included in the "From:"
Some groups allow you to hide your email address, other's do not. That is an option controlled by the group owners/moderators.
If the group does not allow you to hide your email address you are pretty much stuck: your sending email address will be included in the "From:" header received by each group member (those that receive individual emails, that is). Your email address will be truncated when viewed on the web (in the membership list or in the message archive), but that is only limited protection. About all you can do in this case is to create and use an email address you don't mind exposing.
If the group does allow you to hide your email address, and you opt to do so, then you will no longer be able to post messages by email: you'll have to go to the group web site to post. This restriction makes no sense to me, but there it is.

whilst Yahoo exhibits the "did no longer placed up" message, you could replace it to ten basic letters and it will nevertheless no longer placed up. Please do no longer attempt to describe it as some thing relating to the content cloth. inspite of a quickly recurring, there is no longer time for Yahoo to acquire, examine and reject a message. in addition to, I even have placed message up, whilst Yahoo is working properly, and the message will seem and then be bumped off if there is a few content cloth their cybercensors thinks isn't appropriate. Mr. Statff, please do no longer waste our time attempting to fob off excuses on behalf of Yahoo, which has some style of systemic errors that it could no longer or won't restoration. i think of it relatively is a shame...and worse, that somebody might pretend to renowned and furnish disinformation, like Mr. team did. upload to that, that message boards linked with reader responses to information articles do no longer censor and that i've got on no account had a "did no longer placed up" message pop up there. C'mon Yahoo, quit fooling around.
