    Generally speaking, yes it would.

Aside from the occasional dumbass that inherits their family's wealth, the cream generally rises to the top.

Actually, if the wealth is equally distributed across, it will lose most of its value immediately. So, it will be a very different dynamic.

Note that most rich people become rich by creating wealth. Not by acquiring or accumulating existing amount of it. Its not quite a zero sum game.

If this hypothetical experiment is conducted, most existing value will be destroyed and a new set of rich people will be created. Final distribution of wealth will be almost similar to what it is now, but the actual people and location of people may differ as it takes time for this to happen and people will age during that period.

Human factors such as intelligence, strength, beauty, etc. will play a role in this reselection of the new rich. Darwin will prevail.

More or less yes. But you have to understand that nothing happens in a vacuum. And that there were people who were rich before not because of their own skills, but may have had the support of somebody else. There are also those who were poor because of simply being unlucky, say he had a good idea which simply didn't work.

And there is also another factor. How much government will be involved in the economy. Will it be interested in protecting the current status quo? Will people decide that no one should be allowed to win back his wealth? With so much emphasis in socialism nowadays, this is a very real possibility.

Indeed this may be the case...but you never can tell how the wealth will distribute itself a second time round because of people who are solely reliant on things such as trends to make money.

The clever business minds will always manage to regain the wealth in my opinion.

absolutely. unless you modify behavior, you will still be left with impulsive buyers and disciplined savers. entrepreneurs would get back into the business of giving back to the system by creating businesses that serve others and find themselve independent of the system while others will go back to taking from the system until they find they are again dependent on the system.

the only way for people to appreciate any money they have is to give blood, sweat and tears. those that have money distributed to them cannot appreciate the power and freedom and soon squander both.

isn't this why a vast majority of lottery winners started broke and ended broke?

    I believe so, absolutely.
