My IPOD has a mind of its own?
When I select a song to play, it randomly scrolls through and chooses another song by itself! The "shuffle" is not on, yet it wont let you play the song you select. I have tried several different songs, the same thing happens.

It could have a short. I would take it back to the place you bought it, since it is under warranty.

Mine had that problem too. It has a virus on it. Don't ask me how it got there, but you need to restore your iPod. Do this by plugging it into the computer and clicking "Restore". This will erase all of your music so make sure you save it all to a disc by inserting a blank disc and clicking File > Backup to disc.
