My Husband and I are wanting to move to Australia from the USA... Anyone got advice for us as to what we can expect? Husband is a Sheet metal worker HVAC Tech... I am a stay at home mom at the moment but want to return to school for nusing when our child is in school... the points assements I find on line show that we have the points... so are just looking for advice on the next steps... like how/where to send his resume to have job lined up so we can move...
Thanks for the wonderful answers! Can someone tell me what some of the adjustment issues most americans have trouble with? Why do they have more trouble adjusting to living in Australia? Would it be the normal keeping up with the jones aditude you find here so often? Or the I want it now type of aditude? I want to be well verused befor moving like to have all the information I can get befor doing anything!

O.K. well before all that! I just want to say this...I have lived in Australia, over 43 yrs...I love it!....I have also family in the states, and love it!
Ex-pat's do not always do well from America...just a word of warning.Americans, have growen up...in a bigger than life! country...So make sure?...you know what you are doing first ..o.k.
Americans it would seem...have a hard time, adjusting...They tend to miss family very very much....and also America...
