Dentist Referal, please?
Bay City, MI. I have hunted for one and am having no luck. The one my co-workers use is VERY expensive and I have no insurance. One told me I had 4 wisdom teeth, I have 1. Another one is part of a clinic and is only there on Tuesdays and once you see 1 dentist there you have to keep seeing the same dentist. Please help me find someone that really cares about his/her patients and their staff does as well. Thank you.
The clinic was a referal, it's not for "low income" it's a standard dental office that several dentists work (not "volunteer")at. I was not informed when I first started going there that I would have to only see that one dentist. Cost is an issue and charging a patient $125.00 for a simple exam with no exrays is robbery to me. The dental school in my area doesn't get good referals and 1 800 dentist isn't a good referal system in my opinion, I have used it a few times and the people there are rude and don't really answer your questions. There are a lot of dentists in Bay City, but how can I decide which one?

Another option is to look for dentists under eHealthPlus.
You can change dentists at any time and not ask anyone
for permission.

I don't mean to be harsh, but you don't want to see a dentist that costs too much, so you find one at a clinic and are complaining b/c you have to keep seeing the same dentist?
This doesn't make much sense.
Why don't you try a dental school in the area? Their prices may be less expensive.
