My first thought was of the Statue of Liberty. I think Simplicity and/or McCall's have patterns for that. Famous buildings (Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, etc.) may be a bit too complicated. If several of you are doing this, you might try simullating outfits worn by the Rockettes.
