Problem with burning a home video onto CD?

I used my camera to get some videos of my child and using windows movie media, I made a movie and add music and all that to it. It plays fine on windows player but the problem I am having is I can't burn it onto cd to share with my family. Using my burner I have in the past burnt music, files and pictures but I am having problems trying to burn my movie.

I have a DVD/CD-RW Drive if this means anything to you?

If you can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

I was recently trying to do the same. I copied music and pictures before with no problem and I couldn'e get the video on disk (and yes, I did try to burn it on DVD). And then I found out that I just simply don't have the DVD burner (it does say DVD/CD-WRITER on one of the drives on the computer, however that doesn't mean you have it). Check your computer software if you have it at all. (Oh, yeah, even if you paid for it when buying the computer like I did obviously that doesn't guarantee anything). In the meantime before I ge this solved I used regular CD's to back-up my video files - yes, it works to burn the CD's with video it just takes only few minutes on 1 CD so I had to spread it on about 7.....

You have to have a DVD burner and you must use a DVD disk. If your CD burner doesn't burn DVD's which it should you will have issues. Make sure also to finalize your disk.

those are .flv format movies. some dvd authoring classes will artwork with certainly one of those video codecs. Nero's burning rom has an authoring upload on application that would desire to settle for it.
