Get Real asked in Entertainment & MusicMusic · 1 decade ago

Why is it that I seldom if not never see a question on here like "Where can I buy a song"?

You see it all the time. Where can I download music, games, or software for free. Don't you think that the people that write, produce, test and perform these typed of entertainment paid for their work?

Where did this mentality ever come from, it's pretty pathetic. Just remember you did it if you ever start creating stuff like this and aren't making any money on it.

Update:

To be honest with you Scoob, when I was 8 fifty years ago, I stole a candy bar because I was dared to. Before I got to the corner, I knew I had done wrong and went back and tried to pay for it. The store owner told me to keep my money and just to remember that day. I have never forgotten that day. If a man doesn't have any honor he doesn't have anything.

Sign of the time, quite frankly. General society has lost its moral conscience...

You think this is a new concept, just because it has turned digital. Everyone wants to get as much as the can for as little as they can. I work in a tech support line when I often have to set billiable dispatches. I find that customer with more money want more for free. They expect the work to be done for less or none. No, they are not willing to do the work themselves. They want the tech out and for free.

BTW....How many pens have you swiped?

When given a choice between being ethical and getting stuff for free, almost everyone would rather save money. It's quite a shame.
