question about printer cartridges?
i have an Hp Photsmart printer,, ran out of black ink ,,,, then before replaced it had message about tricolor cartridge,,,,, now have replaced black,,,,,,,, cleaned contact points on tricolor, still getting color message,,,,, that its not installed,, dirty etc,,, any ideas?

No its time to replace both, I've found cleaning the contact head will not help no matter what you do. Replace them and all will be right with the world.

Sometimes the cartridge itself is bad. Some places will replace them .....I know Walmart and Office Depot will.

i think the catridge head is not fine and there is some problem with. sometimes it is due to manufacturer's fault.try conatacting the hp coustomer care and ask for a replacement or register your complaint at www.hp.com
