FFXIII and FF Versus XIII, what's the difference?

I have seen the trailers for both of these games and they are different and the titles seem to show that the games are different. What is the difference between the 2?

    Based on this I'd say its a totally different game....

    all final fantasys are the same, just your standard RPG

    the story is the only major difference
