Has the US or world become a system of payoffs to the grumblers?

Toys R Us announced today that they are paying the top 3 in a baby contest that required the parents to be citizens!

Problem is 2 of the top 3 were illegal aliens! They were violating the rules (cheating). Because of public image they paid off!

What are your opinions?

Do you think those that violate the rules should be entitled to win? Do you view Toys R Us differently because they knuckled under?

Will you shop there still or voice you complaint?

Will you enter your 16 Yo in a contest for 8 Yo's then complain when they get disqualified!

Is it time to revamp our justice system, because it is cheper to pay off then to do what is right!

Update:

Nazi

I dont think execution is an exceptable alternative!

Technically, they didn't read the fine print. It is a litigious society based on finding legalities that make people forget the rules and get a free ride. Revamping the legal system has always been a definite must. As long as we allow fluff law suits for the purpose of getting easy money, then there will always be people that find a way around the rules.

Next thing you know, people will be suing McDonald's for serving hot coffee...

Or maybe they will sue Burger King for having fattening food...

Maybe a prison inmate in Michigan will sue for smooth instead of crunchy peanut butter...

    Yep...revamping is an absolute must!!!

The problem is litigation is expensive and it is cheaper to pay the winner the prize then face getting sued for racial discrimination and loss of sales do to public image. This was a baby contest after all. There isn't a judge who would rule against a infant getting a prize as they are elected also. Personanlly I feel that illegal alians have no rights as they do not offically exisit in the eyes of the law.

Many issues theses days are not delt with doing what is right, only catering to pressure groups.

In this case, the company is recognising that illegals are paying customers and they don't want to risk losing more paying customers.

If citizenship is a requirement of the contest, how did these applicants get to the finals in the first place?

This has been pretty much it since I have been able to remember.

As for the illegals, they broke the rules, tell them to stuff it, then execute both families.
