Bobby Hamilton Sr. passed away today. Your Thoughts?
To me I'll always remember him driving that beautiful #68 COUNTRY TIME Oldsmobile and becoming the 1991 Rookie of the Year.

He was cool. When he drove the 43 back in the mid 1990s I saw him race several times at Rockingham (The Rock, now closed) NC. He had a race in the bag with about 30 laps to go on the 1.17 mile oval and guess who bumped him out of the way, yep, ole #3...they are probably having a little discussion about that and many other great NASCAR memories upo there right now...

I wasn't watching NASCAR Cup when Bobby raced, but I did see him in the Truck series, and I thought he was a great talent. To lose someone so young and to such an awful disease must be heartwrenching to his family. My thoughts are with the Hamiltons.

Was a talented driver. He had time for the fans and would often stay to see that all of them got an autograph or have a picture taken or even just a hand shake.
Also he drove one of the movie cars during the "Days of Thunder" filming.

Great driver and will always be respected in the Nascar community. It is sad to see a man that had many years ahead of him die so soon.

i got to meet both sr and jr up in indianappolis.
sr was quite a person.he shook my hand, signed me an autograph, and talked to me for a minute.i actually helped him guide his hauler to the parking spot.he was a gentleman.
now jr was a little butthole.he would not talk,he would not sign an autograph.he basically just ignored what i had to say.the little fat bastard wrecked that night to.oh well.u would think that they would be a little nicer considering the fans help pay their salaries.
may sr rest in peace

''Hopper felt over-indulgence became a call for for super artists. He as quickly as claimed he snorted lines of cocaine "as long as your arm each 5 minutes, purely so i might desire to shop on eating ... gallons" of alcohol'' ''He became regularly gripped by technique of paranoid delusions. In 1982, mutually as filming "Jungle Warriors" in Mexico, he ran bare into the jungle, confident international conflict 3 had started. He became positioned on a plane domicile yet jumped out onto the wing because it became approximately to take off, worried that the plane became on fireplace. Upon his return, he became admitted to a psychiatric wellbeing center for 3 months'' the guy became a legend. that could be a shame he made certainly one of those super variety of undesirable action picture possibilities, turning down Reservoir canines and starring in large Mario Brothers case in point. His super roles will outshine the poorer ones in my concepts. easy Rider is in my acceptable ten action picture record. .

He was a blue collar, hard working guy who worked his way up in Nascar. He wasn't handed the best equipment, but he loved the sport and worked hard to get where he was.

Wow...I wasn't sure if your question was true, and I just checked on nascar.com ...My thoughts and my deepest condolences go out to his family. I knew he had cancer, but I didn't expect for him to pass away so suddenly. At least his battle with cancer has come to an end now. May he rest in peace.
