When should you hire a tax pro?
At what point do you believe that it is more effective to hire a professional to help you with your taxes than to try to do it yourself, and why? Just seeking actual taxpayer opinions here...Thanks!

Most of the time it is pretty easy to do personal taxes. Especially if you know the basics. I don't think it's necessary to hire a tax pro unless you need to file corporate taxes for a large company. Except, of course if you don't like math or learning.
I think that some of the questions on here are just for informational purposes only, not so that they can file their own. Just to be an informed consumer.
EDIT:
Also I agree with the comment below.

If the cost is less than the time and stress it takes for you do it yourself, then, by all means, hire a pro.
If you can earn more money spending your time working, then why waste your time doing your own taxes? Hire someone whose job it is to keep up with all the tax rules, laws, and changes that occur every year/month (Congress critters have to earn their living ya know by making new laws).
If you are doing something new for the first time that involves money like investing or business and the amount is large relative to your income, it may pay to get a tax pro's opinion of what to do to minimize the tax effect of your actions.
