submissive women are....?

I personally wouldn't say that is a submissive woman. That is just a woman who hasn't forgotten how to be a woman.

Submissive in my mind is more a lady who gives herself to a man, and loses herself on the way.

Ya can't have both at the same time (submission and independence). Apparently you refer to women who are submissive in the bedroom only, but independent in other facets of life.

A woman can be assertive and still be every bit as much of a woman. An assertive woman is usually independent and knows what she wants. Two people who submit to each other voluntarily and willingly would be ideal. No one wants to be dominated.

I'm hoping you only mean sexually submissive women. If you mean totally submissive, there's no independence there.

I think you got submissive mixed up with another word... submissive and independent don't normally go together.
