♥Best of times/Worst of times?

This is the best of times because we are alive and can still laugh.

I probably say a good example of this would be new technology. For example, in medicine. New medical advances can really help people and compared to 100 years ago, we can find out what's wrong with people more easily and therefore help/treat them. However, on the bad side of things technology can be dangerous (nuclear war, etc). At the touch of a button, a nation can destroy another nation.

Well obviously the bad times are losing loved ones and having things go wrong. I am a firm beleiver in that everything happens for a reason no matter how good or bad. Instead of saying bad I would use tough...Good times are when you wake up look around and know you are still here, and you still have time left to possibly find your meaning.

The technology we have now is incredible so I would say that is part of the best. It has great medical benefits, social and entertainment benefits, etc. The worst is everyone is so greedy and selfish. America is simply becoming the have and the have nots.

Technology is the answer to both sides of you question. Technology has cured disease, given us ways to grow more food with less land, and brought us all closer together by making transcontinental communication easy and instantaneous.

It has, however, also given us deadlier, more powerful weapons. let us eradicate our environment, and forces children to grow up much more quickly because of the intrusion of TV and the internet into our homes. Technology: is it humankind's best blessing or biggest bane? You decide.

best... we have tech... medicine, we live longer.. cleaner.. and we are semi safe....

worst.. pollution, capitalization.. destroying nature at every turn for a new fortune 500 company to build their spectacles.. complicated life, way back when all you had to do to support your family is built your house, hunt/cook now its not quite as black and white... overpopulation of places.. like SF :P

I'm not part of green peace or anything like that, and I'm not a hippy or against consumer society, its just that the times we live in i believe are kind of depressing, although we have a lot of conveniences, doesn't change the fact that it can be very depressing at times.

The best of times is that we have amazing technology, the worst of times is the amazing medieval stupidity of the people using the amazing technology.

the best of times in my opinion is the new years and the worst of times is that there is still people eating other people maybe at africa.
