question regarding breaststroke?

First off, as a general idea of my build I'm about 6' and roughly 150 pounds, so I'm a pretty thin dude all around. My question is regarding sprinting in breaststroke. How much of my glide should I still keep when swimming a 50 in a short course pool. As of now I use a very wide stroke with a quick turnover, is this the right course of action or should I alter this to make it longer.

start your stroke just before your feet touch. Your entire arm motion should be fluid yet quick. This will result in faster times.

When doing breast stroke you want your arms to not go any farther then about the top of your ribs otherwise if you go down further you will be doing way to much work for yourself and it always helps if you can glide as long as possible, and make sure your turns are as sharp as possible, and when doing the arms go out and your arms should touch about the top of your rib cage maybe a little higher or lower depending on your build and everything.

Oh, you wait till finally you attempt butterfly. even nevertheless while completed at complete speed, breaststroke is the main tiring stroke. yet i'm guessing the type you're doing it, you ought to besides merely be walking. you are able to desire to learn freestyle besides. And backstroke.. it rather is not that complicated, a minimum of you are able to breathe the full time. good success!

you should only glide for about a half of a second so you dont break your rhythm and dont forget to shorten your breakout if you are only swimming 50 meters.

    say to yourself Pull..breath...kick...glide..

It helps trust me but don't go to slow are you will sink.

if you are in a competion go as fast as possible but remember to do your two hand touch turn and end.
