how do you find someone's actual ip address if they're behind a dsl/broadband router?

I already know about the ipconfig cmd, but that will only display the ip address given by the router and not the actual ip address. can someone please help.

Update:

i already know about the ipconfig command, but that will only show the router ip given. if the person is using a client like yahoo msgr or better yet icq, how can u find their ip address?

Don't know. That's a tough one unless you are on the client end of the router itself. But even if you can see the router and get it's IP you would not know the address of a single computer running off that router I suppose if you know what brand router it is and how the DHCP assigns IPs you might be able to guess or trial and error. But then you'd also have to guess how the router configuration is configured to assign IPs.

a million) specific, you will possibly desire to forward port 80 to the computing device's inner IP handle. No, you could not browse directly to it - the computing device is invisible from ouutside the router. 2) you ought to use no-ip or DynDNS to confirm the IP concern. purely sign in for the unfastened provider and run the unfastened utility. then you fairly connect with the named handle you're using.

You don't unless you can hack into the router past the firewall. Tried once for 2 weeks. and finally made it with a constant attack with 2 computers. Unless it is important, it is not worth it and dubious as to legality. Lasted about 3 hours, and the encryption was changed.

log into the router and check its default gateway.
