UK companies wanting money changers, Is this a scam?

I've been looking for work on-line and have received alot of offers from UK companies looking for people to use their checking accounts as a way of changing money for a 10% payout fee. Is this a scam? What am I not seeing here? I'm of the school that if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is. Does anyone have any experience with this?

A legit business like this would go to a US bank to provide this service for them, and they would pay minimal fees for exchanging the currency from US to British pounds, or whatever.

This is a scam - big time. Imagine this: You receive a check for $10,000 and deposit it into your bank. You wait until funds are released (7 days normally) and then feel it is safe to forward their amount of $9000, keeping the $1000 for your fee. Now, you go and spend your $1000 on yourself and low and behold, four days later the bank notifies you that the check was returned as being fraudulent. Meanwhile, your friends in the UK have taken your legit money from your bank account (usually lower dollar amounts so they know they can cash out).

The bank wants you to make good on the funds you sent out, and you've lost your entire acount balance.

There are so many UK scams right now...they are all BullChit, do not partake in any of them. Do not believe anything that comes in your email from overseas...NOTHING

You are right to believe the old adage "if it's too good to be true..." stick to that thought always.

If you ever need to verify..use a search engine. Check addresses, names whatever you're looking for can be "googled". Good luck!
