How can I keep myself from getting attached to someone too much or too quickly?

Making sure you know what your priorities are and where you loyalties lie at all times. Staying on track with your life goals and interests really helps focus your attention.

Why put up barriers or try to stop or slow something from happening too quickly? So that means that you will not be yourself because you are trying too hard not to get attached either too much or too quickly. I feel sorry for the person that you have a relationship with as you will be false. Be yourself and allow whatever to happen, happen.

I do that too, it totally sucks because I end up being disappointed in the end. I've learned to distance myself if I feel I'm getting too attached. Other people have a good point though, you don't want to limit yourself out of fear, maybe I should listen to that.

Do most of the things what he likes, dont tell him "NO" anytime for anything all the time u must try to tell "Yes", follow his Hobbies and fulfil it for him, every time try to be in touch with him, care for him, keep smiling in front of him even if he is angry on u, dont give up quickly, love and affection never fails. If all the time you in touch with him and suddenly you disappear sure he will miss you, yea Madam this is the game of Love so play it and Win it................................................

Keep occupied with other people and hobbies or things to do. Don't wrap your entire world around anyone or anything..ever.

Realize that no matter what you must put God before anyone you choose to be with whether it be man or woman.
