I'm looking for a dollar amount no personal views, how much does the US owe its forced laborers?
The USA used free forced laborers for hundreds of years. The lived in concentration camps called "plantations" and were subjected to inhuman abuse and living conditions. How much would they have made if they were payed? How much, in dollar amount, are the owed?

Yes, I fully support paying reparations to any former slaves who are still alive today.

it's a lot of interest eh.....except they're all deceased. Their descendants, if they were eligible to collect, would be minted!!
Read a book about the economic consequences of Emancipation called Time On The Cross.
Also, google the term "Emancipation economic history".
It mentions the controversial theory that for many years after Emancipation, slaves were actually in a worse situation once free, since pre-Emancipation, they were actually a prized asset, as there was immense greed on the slave-owners' part and no more slaves left to buy. In short, they were valuable. Once free, they were just another labourer.

Zero, the government did not own them.
Zero, they are all dead.
Zero, The owners were not compensated as in other countries which did not fight civil wars over slavery.
Zero, Approximately 1,000,000 dead in the civil war. Ajusting for todays population that would be equal to a war where we lost 1,250,000 per year for 4 years. 25% of the male population of the southern States between the ages of 18 and 40 killed.
Which brings us to a grand total of zero.
