Midol or Tylenol never did a thing for my cramps, and mine are very bad. The only thing that helps me is ibuprofen...also known as Motrin, Advil, etc. Aleve is a related medicine & helps some, but I find that ibuprofen is best. Good luck!

Ok, this sounds weird, but I have found that if I exercise on day 10 of my cycle, I don't get PMS during my period. Try it, you might find that it's a different day for you, but it really works.
If you're cramping right now, heat packs, rest and midol work well.

The best remedy.. I find midol, a hot bath or hot water bottle and sleep is the only way to make them go away... Sometimes i get violently ill for some reason, if i eat anything i cant keep it down.. sometimes i cant sleep but usually a hot water bottle will help make it go away :)

Try not to eat a lot of beef and red meat. A doctor told me that once, and I tried it, and i havent had cramps since. As for me, I cut out beef completely, and did that until my body got used to not having cramps. Then I gradually started eating it again, and I still havent had any!!!
Good luck

MIDOL!!!!! it's my best friend. or ibuproferen. cramps are caused by your cervix trying to push out clots. ibuproferen thins the blood which in turn thins out the clots which makes it easier to pass and makes your period slightly lighter. (when there are clots you bleed heavier) also a heating pad will help the pain.

you should put a hot pack on your lower abdomen, and just sit it there for a while. Lye down and relax with the pack on your abdomen, and it should feel better within a few minutes. I have to do this, and it really helps!
