Stars in Yahoo Answers?

it adds a q to your "starred questons" folder...i guess so you can refer back to the question at a later date? i'm not sure why they did this....it's not a rating system, is it?

Wen u star a question you are saying it logical and its a good question or that its hard\ This lets all of the contacts no b/c it shows up in a segment on your screen the more stars youll have the more answers you will get Now really ther is no point b/c there are many answers to a question but only one tight one unless its on opinion like polls and surveys

It looks like the thumbs up/down portion for questions is gone, replaced by this star system, where you let others know this is a really great questions

Hello to the New Yahoo Answers!

It's showing up sometimes, and none for other times. Well, we'll have to love it or leave it. If you star it, the questions will show up in your profile, in the star list, along with your Q& A.

it means you can star a question if you think its interesting. See the comment of you hover over a star

however you cannot downrate a question if its stupid.

Yahoo have just stopped us applying any rating to questions. Probably because there were so many downrating of stupid questions they decided to stop.

They just shot the messenger.

As the saying goes, it'll (probably) be nice when it's finished because although the "We're updating" message has gone, the stars don't seem to know quite what to do. One moment they're there, the next they've gone again.

if someone is interested in ur question or finds it interesting, they give u a star by clicking on the star sign. it's a way to rate the question also.

Looks like it's instead of a 'thumbs up' on a question!

I just tried it. When you click on it. It shows that you were interested in the question and it shows your avatar in a box. It is a new toy to play with!!!
